A large public square fountain starts with site size, walking route, and the viewing distance. The water pattern should not block normal traffic, and the splash range needs enough space from seats, shop entrances, and electric equipment. For a wide square, straight jets and fan nozzles can create a clean center line, while mist or bubbling nozzles can fill side areas without making the whole project too loud. The basin depth, pump room, cable channel, and water treatment position should be planned before the surface decoration is fixed.
If the fountain will run at night, underwater lights and safe cable routes need to be included from the first drawing. A clear layout makes later installation easier, because pump groups, pipes, nozzles, and lights can be checked by zone instead of being mixed together. It also helps the site owner understand which parts need daily cleaning and which parts only need seasonal checks.
